September 8: California's Free Fishing Day. DFG offers two Free Fishing Days each year. On these days, you can fish without a sport fishing license. Free Fishing Days provide a great, low-cost way to give fishing a try. All fishing regulations, such as bag and size limits, gear restrictions, fishing hours and stream closures remain in effect.
September 8: Restore The Delta "Grand Food & Wine Classique". September 12: Delta Chambers Mixer at Delta Yacht Club. 6:00 - 7:30 pm. The Delta Yacht Club is only accessible by boat. Opportunity Cruises will be providing the boat to the island. September 20-30: San Joaquin County Fair. The San Joaquin County Fair in Stockton is one of Northern California's premier county fairs. It features big name concerts, live horse racing, a carnival, ag and livestock, food and local exhibits.
September 22: Classic Yacht Association "Forget Me Knot" Boat Parade. Parade starts just outside the Sacramento Marina at approx 12:15pm. Boats will cruise up to Old Sacramento to lay wreath, turn around and return. BUGLE TAPS, WREATH LAYING, STORIES, MEMORIES,

September 28-30: B&W Resort & Marina Steamboat Meet. The annual meeting of steam boats. The public can view the boats and talk to the owners. Please call for the best viewing time. October 12-14: Rio Vista Bass Festival & Derby. Citywide festival and fishing derby with carnival, vendors, entertainment and supporting events. It's a fisherman's dream come true! The oldest Bass Derby on the west coast will once again be highlighted. Anglers are able to choose between two fishing contests on the same ticket.
